Stewardship Prayer
Gracious God, You sent us St. Paul to preach the Gospel, inspire us in faith, and show us the way to be good stewards of Your grace.
Grant us the wisdom to recognize that through Your Son’s gift of the Eucharist there is one bread, and we are one body. Bless us, Your Church in the Diocese of Raleigh, that we may provide the resources to continue Your Son’s ministry through our support of this appeal.
Give us the courage to proclaim the Good News in word and deed. May we reflect our love for You by providing for the needs of our sisters and brothers. And in the spirit of St. Paul teach us to live, no longer for ourselves, but in Christ Jesus who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.

Dios, tu nos enviaste a San Pablo para predicar el evangelio, danos fe, y muestranos el camino para ser un buen administrador de tu gracia.
Danos el conocimiento para reconozer que la eucaristia es un regalo de tu hijo y que atravez de la eucaristia hay un pan, y de que nosotros somos un solo cuerpo. We, the parish family of the Sacred Heart of Jesus,
Thank you for giving us your Son whose birth has given us the hope of salvation and everlasting life.
We come together each weekend and beg you to guide us with your Holy Spirit, so we may be willing to use our gifts and talents to benefit the needs of our community.
Give us a heart in which we may be humble and open to see your presence in every face we meet.
Watch over and protect us as we strive to be examples of Christian light in our community, as we continue to build our multi-cultural parish family in one faith.

Act of Consecration to the Holy Spirit
On my knees before the great multitude of heavenly witnesses, I offer myself, soul and body to You, Eternal Spirit of God. I adore the brightness of Your purity, the unerring keenness of Your justice, and the might of Your love. You are the Strength and Light of my soul. In You I live and move and am. I desire never to grieve You by unfaithfulness to grace and I pray with all my heart to be kept from the smallest sin against You. Mercifully guard my every thought and grant that I may always watch for Your light, and listen to Your voice and follow Your gracious inspirations. I cling to You and give myself to You and ask You by Your compassion to watch over me in my weakness. Holding the pierced feet of Jesus and looking at His five wounds and trusting in His precious blood and adoring His opened side and stricken heart I implore You, adorable spirit, helper of my infirmity, so to keep me in Your grace that I may never sin against You. Give me grace O Holy Spirit, Spirit of the Father and the Son to say to You always and everywhere
"Speak Lord for Your servant heareth."

Rejoice and have joy! Thank God from your heart for the gift of faith. Thank him for everything he sends in
life. The rough, as well as the smooth has a part in God's plan for making us worthy of sharing his kingdom. We
shall "pray constantly." Our simple, everyday life will be a life of prayer, if we do our daily tasks. They may be
humdrum, seem unimportant, or great affairs of state. But they are prayers, provided we offer them to God and see
them as the things we must do on life's journey.
The Christian who lives such a life, who does his duty daily, who is loyal and true to God and to his neighbor,
who bears patiently the troubles of life and enjoys the lawful pleasures of life, need have no fear for his
future. He will be found "sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
¡Regocijence y tenga alegría! Agradezca a Dios de su corazón por el regalo de la fé. Agradézcalo por todo lo que El envía en vida. Las tribulaciones, tal como las bendiciones tienen una parte en el plan de Dios para hacernos dignos de compartir su reino. "Rogaremos constantemente." Nuestras simples vidas diarias serán una vida de constante oración si hacemos todos los quehaceres diarios. Pueden ser sin sentimientos, sin importncia,o asuntos del estado poco importantes. Pero son oraciones, con tal que los ofrezcamos a Dios y los veamos como las cosas que debemos hacer en el viaje de la vida
El cristiano que vive tal vida, que hace su deber diario, que es leal y verdadero a Dios y a su vecino, que lleva pacientemente las tribulaciones de la vida y goza de los placeres legales de la vida, no necesita tener miedo del futuro. Lo encontrarán "sano y libre de culpa a la llegada de nuestro señor Jesucristo."
